So, here we go then. I picked the bike up this morning from freezing cold Bristol - we left Poole at 7am and arrived in Bristol at 9.30, after a very careful drive over some freezing cold roads that were more than a bit slippy.

A friend of ours asked a friend of his to lend us this very neat little trailer to transport it back on. The trailer was made by its owner in his shed and it towed very nicely indeed.

The chap selling the Honda was very nice and also presented with a very helpful box of spare parts.
All in all I am delighted with the bike, I'm well aware of the non-standard wheels, exhaust and mudguards but as these would have been items I would probably have changed anyway I'm not too worried.

The exhaust silencer is in very good condition, just really dirty (a little compound shone it up beautifully) as as the wheels, which I think are from a Superdream - I should be able to raise a few pennies from the sale of them. Fundamentally we think that you probably could MOT it with a weekends hard work...... however...............

The plan is to get it started and moving under its own steam, steam wash the whole thing and then bring it on to the bench for disassembly. Not too bad a buy I think for £250 and I am really looking forward to the project.
Whatcha think?

It is also good to see some other details - like for example the male voice choir. My son is at Trinity College of Music (studying Tuba) but is also a keen choir member with Coro London. He sang with Berkshire Youth Choir the year they won the Sainsbury's Choir of the Year competition.
Keep posting - I know it is sometimes difficult!
